Following are examples of recurring characters in my narrative paintings. I like to think of them as people moving through various parties and bars, interacting in different situations. I enjoy incorpor[...]

She's fuzzy here, because she's in a not quite done painting. When her party is finished, she'll be in focus with her other fellow repertory members, Pink-Haired Lady, Despondent Man, Zsa Zsa The Deaf Wh[...]

In "White Cat at the Club" she's being pulled "off stage" to dance or to talk or to leave or...? Pink-Haired Lady is here too, and this work marks the first appearance of Despondent Man.

She first appears in "White Cat in the Bar" (sold), smoking and gazing towards something "off stage". This also features Zsa Zsa The Deaf Cat, enjoying a bowl of milk, in her first appearance.

Checkered Vest Man has been featured twice - first in this early work, The Gathering(sold) with his friend, Everett. He'll be seen again, no doubt. I like his mellow vibe.

Here, he's at a party in my most recent, still unfinished work - being perhaps pestered, and still looking despondent. Will he ever cheer up? Or stop with the comb-over?

Poor Despondent Man. Looks like his proposal has been rejected (note ring box). He won't give up though. He'll be back.

She's at a party, in an unfinished work. Pink-Haired Lady is happiest in a big comfy chair, engaged in conversation and having a glass of wine. Joining her at this party in Checkered-Vest Man, Desponden[...]

Received a commission yesterday. My client loved the dog in the painting Wet Dog, which hangs in the Wet Dog Cafe. But she doesn't want "the ladies butts" - certainly more appropriate for a bar/cafe, bu[...]
